Maintenance
Once a month:
- Test the balance and alignment of the door Open the door half way and then release it. The door should remain in place completely supported by its springs.
- Test the obstacle detection function Place an 1 inch object centered in the running path of the door. Operate the door in the down direction. The door must reverse on striking the obstacle. If the door stops on the obstacle you have to adjust either the door or the limit stops of the opener.
- Test the photo eyes function Close the door with the opener. Place a 6 inch high object in between the photo eyes to disrupt the infrared beam. The opener must stop immediately and then reverse entirely.
Once a year:
- Check the door and all moving parts Lubricate the door rollers, bearings and hinges.
- Check the mounting bolts of the opener Tighten the screws if necessary. As needed:
- Clean the chain and C- rail with a lint free cloth
SOMMER recommends to use Ballistol lubricant for all door and opener parts. |
